Job overview

Ward F6 at North Manchester General Hospital of Manchester University NHS Trust is a general medical ward , seeking experienced Band 5's or previous Band 6 experience to join our team as a Ward Sister/Charge Nurse.

We seek an individual who is efficient, enthusiastic , highly motivated with excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work in our Female Trauma Orthopaedic ward . A calm , diplomatic and caring approach and a commitment to provide high quality, safe and effective care is essential. You will be joining our friendly and dynamic multidisciplinary team with excellent standards and great work ethic .

Main duties of the job

The post holder is responsible for the assessment of patient care needs anddevelopment, devising, implementing and evaluating programmes of care, both for a specific group of patients as the named care provider and in supporting the care of all patients.

As a Sister / Charge Nurse you will provide daily clinical and managerial
leadership to nursing and support staff in the delivery of evidence based practice.
Actively support the Ward / Unit Manager in the effective running of the department including in their absence.
