SISS Station Systems Technician - Level 4

Location: Shrewsbury, United Kingdom (On-site)

Join our Engineering Team at Telent and be empowered to innovate and drive solutions, working closely with technical experts. Be part of a high-performing team handling complex and critical work to help build and maintain the nation's critical infrastructure.

Reporting to the Duty Manager, the Station Systems Technician will perform planned preventative maintenance and assist with reactive maintenance on CCTV, CIS, PA, and SISS (Station Information and Security Systems). The role is based at Pirin Court Depot, near Canning Town, working permanent nights from Sunday to Thursday, 10pm to 6am.

Responsibilities:

• Assist qualified technicians in fault rectification on CCTV, PAVA, PHP, and CIS screens.
• Attend planned, remedial, and corrective maintenance tasks.
• Maintain SISS assets and report/fix station communication faults.
• Use field IT equipment for real-time maintenance data.
• Coordinate with Telent Service Centre for tasks and fault updates.

Ideal Candidate:

This entry-level role suits hands-on individuals who can multi-task and enjoy learning. Experience in a similar role or understanding of Network Rail health & safety procedures is advantageous.

Key Requirements:

• CCTV, IP networking, or electrical background.
• Understanding of O365 and IT awareness.
• Problem-solving and fault-finding skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Willingness to work nights at Pirin Court Service Centre.
