ALPINE RACING LIMITED in Enstone is offering a 1-year Simulation Student Placement starting July 2027. You will develop, maintain and deploy simulation tools used across engineering, working with engineers, software developers and performance analysts to inform design and race strategy.

Requires a Motorsport Engineering degree in penultimate year, strong MATLAB/Python, and knowledge of Dymola/Simscape/Simulink; UK work eligibility is needed and onsite assessment in September may be required.

As a Simulation Student Placement, you’ll be part of a team that delivers the software and insights that help drive performance on track.**The Role**During the placement, you’ll support the development, maintenance, and deployment of simulation tools used across the engineering departments. You’ll work closely with simulation engineers, software developers, and performance analysts to ensure the accuracy, usability, and efficiency of simulation workflows that inform design and race strategy decisions.**Key Responsibilities*** Assist in the development and testing of simulation tools and applications* Support the integration of simulation software into engineering workflows* Help validate simulation outputs against real-world data* Contribute to documentation and user support for simulation tools* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure simulation tools meet user needs**Who We’re Looking For*** Currently studying a degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace or Motorsport Engineering and seeking an industry placement in your penultimate year of university* Strong programming skills (matlab, python) and familiarity with simulation environments such as Dymola, Simscape, Simulink* Understanding of car systems (thermal management, hydraulics, transmission, fuel) and modelling techniques* Experience with data analysis and software development tools* Passion for motorsport and a proactive, collaborative mindset* You must have the right to work in the UK, as we cannot provide sponsorship for this role* Be available to attend onsite for an assessment centre in September**What We Offer in Return**At Alpine Formula One Team, you won’t just contribute; you’ll make a direct impact on race car performance at the pinnacle of motorsport.
