Job summary

ALPINE RACING LIMITED is seeking a Simulation Student Placement for a 1-year placement at Enstone. You will support development, maintenance, and deployment of simulation tools used across engineering, working with simulation engineers, software developers and performance analysts to ensure accurate, usable workflows.

Duration: 1 year, Start Date: July 2027. The role requires studying Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace or Motorsport Engineering in your penultimate year, strong Matlab/Python

Qualifications

• Currently studying a degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace or Motorsport Engineering and seeking an industry placement in your penultimate year of university
• Strong programming skills (Matlab, Python) and familiarity with simulation environments such as Dymola, Simscape, Simulink
• Understanding of car systems (thermal management, hydraulics, transmission, fuel) and modelling techniques
• Experience with data analysis and software development tools
• Passion for motorsport and a proactive, collaborative mindset
• You must have the right to work in the UK, as we cannot provide sponsorship for this role
• Be available to attend onsite for an assessment centre in September

The Role

You will work closely with simulation engineers, software developers, and performance analysts to ensure the accuracy, usability, and efficiency of simulation workflows that inform design and race strategy decisions.
