Job summary

Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. in Newport, UK is seeking a SiC Process Engineer in Final Operations to own and advance Laser Anneal, Back Metal and Backgrind processes, ensuring robust controls and seamless transfer from R&D to manufacturing.

You will design experiments, define specs, support qualification and ramp-up, collaborate across R&D, Engineering, Production and Quality, and continuously improve process capability, yield and cycle time while working to manufacturing schedules.

Qualifications

• Experience in semiconductor wafer fabrication environment.
• Experience developing, qualifying or sustaining wafer-fabrication process modules.
• Knowledge of SiC power-device manufacturing or wide-bandgap processing is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop, qualify and optimize SiC wafer process modules (Laser Anneal, Back Metal, Backgrind).
• Plan and execute process development and integration with documentation.
• Transfer technologies from R&D into manufacturing and support ramp-up.
• Maintain process specifications and SPC/controls documentation.
