Job summary

Vishay Newport Limited in Newport, United Kingdom, seeks a senior engineer to lead quality and reliability for wide-bandgap power devices (SiC). You will drive testing strategies and collaborate across R&D, Engineering and Manufacturing to meet JEDEC and AEC requirements.

You will design experiments, coordinate studies, and help shape screening and burn-in processes, presenting results to senior management and external stakeholders while representing Vishay in industry forums.

Qualifications

PhD or Masters in electronics, physics or microelectronics required.
Strong problem-solving, communication and teamwork abilities.
Experience with reliability testing of wide-bandgap devices beneficial.

Responsibilities

Design and drive quality and reliability requirements for SiC power devices.
Establish testing and characterization methods for reliability in R&D, NPI and high-volume manufacturing.
Design experiments and coordinate statistical studies on device reliability.
Lead screening and burn-in procedures to meet JEDEC and AEC requirements.
Lead R&D, NPI and HVM quality/reliability projects; present results to management and stakeholders.
Define QA test equipment requirements and coordinate development for transfer to manufacturing.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including academics.
Represent Vishay in industry councils such as JEDEC or AECQ.
