BardWood Support Services is hiring an Area Support Officer in Margate to help ensure safety and security for staff and visitors on a site-based role within the public sector. You will provide a proactive security presence, assist with first aid if needed, and report incidents clearly.

Key requirements include holding an SIA license, a full driving licence, and a 5-year checkable work history. The position is full-time, on-site, with benefits after transfer to the client after 12 weeks.

Qualifications

• SIA license is required and must be valid.
• A full 5-year checkable work history is required.
• Own transport or access to transport is essential.
• Previous customer-facing experience is preferred.
• Physically fit and able to work under pressure.
• Flexible attitude and adaptability to changing shifts.
• Security and operational system competence.

Responsibilities

• Provide relief cover to locations within a region.
• Follow site operational guidance and Assignment Instructions.
• Maintain a safe environment for staff and customers.
• Provide proactive public-facing presence and welcome.
• Resolve conflicts at client premises when needed.
• Work with colleagues to ensure site rules compliance.
• Use initiative in threatening situations.
• Maintain smart appearance and visible security presence.
• Administer first aid if required (training provided).
• Complete legible incident reports.
• Maintain a safe, secure, welcoming environment.
