Job summary

BardWood is seeking an Area Support Officer in Sittingbourne to help ensure the safety and security of staff and visitors on site. The role is site-based with day shifts, and a professional reception presence to guide people and deter risk.

You must hold an SIA license, have a 5-year checkable work history, a full driving license, and be able to work under pressure in a customer-facing environment. Training will be provided for first aid and incident reporting.

Qualifications

• SIA license and a 5-year career history are required.
• Full driving license with access to own transport.
• Experience in customer-facing roles and ability to handle pressure.
• Physically fit and able to work under pressure.
• Flexible attitude and adaptability to varied site conditions.
• Competence with security/operational systems is expected.

Responsibilities

• Provide relief cover for a portfolio of locations within a region.
• Maintain a safe, secure environment and offer a welcoming reception for staff and visitors.
• Handle potential conflicts with calm, professional approach and enforce site rules.
• Observe and report incidents clearly and promptly; complete legible incident reports.
• Administer basic first aid when trained and support overall safety initiatives.
