Job summary

Corps Security is seeking a highly skilled SIA Licensed Security Officer to provide a secure environment on site. You will implement access control, conduct site inductions, carry out planned and ad-hoc patrols, and follow escalation procedures with management and emergency services.

The role requires logging activities, and maintaining alarms and safety procedures. You will work an average of 56 hours per week, with a rotating pattern of days and nights.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus.
• A valid SIA Front‑Line License - essential.
• Ability to establish and maintain relationships at all levels.
• Ability to work to deadlines, multitask and work under pressure.
• Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Excel.
• Able to meet BS7858 vetting and Bank of England clearance standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain overall surveillance of the site with regular patrols and logging.
• Ensure visitors and contractors are briefed and signed in/out.
• Record deliveries and process paperwork per site procedures.
• Set and unset alarms for out-of-hours security if applicable.
• Complete daily logs, handovers, incident records and site reports.
• Follow Assignment Instructions, risk assessments and safety documents.
• Keep training records up to date, including first aid and fire marshal training.
• Demonstrate high professionalism and display SIA licence at all times.
• Perform ad hoc duties as directed.
