Job summary

ABM is hiring a Security Relief Officer in Cannock to be the public face of the Security Team. The role requires a can-do, professional attitude and a commitment to exemplary security and customer service for visitors and tenants.

Working 13 hours per week at £13.19 per hour, the role supports incident response and daily security operations. SIA licence essential and First Aid Training desirable; join ABM’s team to help maintain a safe, welcoming environment.

• SIA licence essential.
• First Aid Training required.

Responsibilities

• Interact with visitors/tenants delivering first class customer focused service.
• Carry out regular patrols of the shopping centre as detailed in the site assignment Instructions.
• Continuously look for opportunities to assist visitors and proactively help wherever possible.
• Safeguard the site to ensure a safe, non-threatening environment for all visitors/tenants.
• Incident management in accordance with site policies and procedures.
• Liaise with the site control room and keep colleagues briefed and supported.
• Report unsecured areas to Control Room and take action.
• Manage emergencies efficiently and keep the Centre team informed.
• Monitor and log incidents and suspect individuals per site/company policies.
• Maintain vigilance against unauthorised access by banned individuals.
• Adhere to radio procedures.
• Record events/incidents in the Security Officer notebook.
• Undertake additional duties as required to meet business needs.
• Be professional, courteous and helpful at all times.
• Take ownership of tasks and escalate when needed.
• Stay motivated and aim high.
• Respect all staff and visitors.
• LIAISE with Environmental Services to work as a single team.
