Job summary

Ballycommon is seeking experienced shuttering carpenters for on-site work in Bournemouth. You will work on large-scale RC frame projects with a strong background in shuttering and formwork carpentry, plus solid core carpentry experience.

Applicants must be CSCS cardholders, able to prove right to work in the UK, and capable of operating in a physically demanding construction environment with reliability, teamwork, and a proactive attitude.

• Proof of right to work in the UK is required.
• Experience in shuttering and formwork carpentry is essential.

Responsibilities

• Shuttering and formwork: construct and dismantle shuttering for concrete structures with precision.
• Read drawings and ensure accurate measurements and alignments.
• Select and prepare materials for shuttering and formwork on site.
• Inspect finished work to meet quality standards and adjust as needed.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations on-site.

Role Overview:

We are currently seeking experienced Shuttering Carpenters to join our team in Bournemouth. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in shuttering and formwork carpentry, with a proven track record of working on large-scale RC frame projects. You must have good experience in carpentry and core work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Shuttering and Formwork: Construct and dismantle shuttering and formwork for concrete structures, ensuring precision and compliance with project specifications.
• Reading Drawings: Interpret and work from technical drawings, ensuring that all measurements and alignments are accurate.
• Material Handling: Select and prepare the appropriate materials for shuttering and formwork, ensuring they are ready for concrete pouring.
• Quality Assurance: Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards, making adjustments as necessary to achieve the best results.
• Health and Safety: Adhere to all health and safety regulations on-site, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.

To Be Successful You Must Have:

• Valid CSCS Card.
• Proof of right to work in the UK.
• Be physically fit for duties around a construction site.
• Be reliable and punctual.

• A good team player.
• Previous experience as a Formwork Carpenter.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

• NVQ Carpenter.
• Formwork Carpentry: 2 years (Preferred).
• Able to operate in a flexible and adaptable manner and work as part of a team.
• Open to attending training programmes to increase individual skills and knowledge.
