Job summary

Resourcing Group is seeking experienced Shuttering Carpenters to join a busy construction project in Southampton. You will carry out shuttering and formwork duties as part of a large site team on a high-rise student accommodation development.

The role requires CSCS card and proven site experience, with attention to health and safety on site. Start date is Monday 24th August 2026, and successful candidates will work on site in Southampton (SO15 2JX).

Qualifications

• CSCS card required.
• Previous experience as a shuttering carpenter on construction sites.
• Ability to work as part of a team and follow site instructions.
• Two checkable references required.
• Good understanding of health & safety on site.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out shuttering and formwork works.
• Installing and dismantling formwork as project requires.
• Working from drawings and site instructions.
• Assisting with concrete preparation and related carpentry works.
• Maintaining a safe and tidy work environment.
• Collaborating with other trades and site management to meet deadlines.

Requirements

• Valid CSCS Card
• Previous experience as a Shuttering Carpenter
• Relevant experience working on construction sites
• Ability to work as part of a team and follow site instructions
• 2 x checkable references
• Good understanding of health & safety requirements on site

• Carrying out shuttering and formwork works
• Installing and dismantling formwork in line with project requirements
