Job summary

Westray Recruitment is seeking dependable Shunter Drivers to support a busy Teesside operation in Redcar. You will safely move and position vehicles and trailers, performing checks and adhering to health and safety protocols.

The role requires flexibility for day, night, and weekend shifts in a 24-hour operation. Applicants should hold a full, clean UK driving licence and be capable of passing a drug/alcohol test.

Responsibilities

• Safely moving and positioning vehicles and trailers around the site.
• Carrying out vehicle checks before use.
• Following all site procedures and health and safety requirements.
• Communicating effectively with supervisors and other operational teams.
• Ensuring vehicles and trailers are positioned correctly and securely.
• Reporting any defects, damage or safety concerns immediately.
• Supporting the wider operation when required.
• Maintaining a professional and safety-conscious approach at all times.
