Westray Recruitment is seeking dependable Shunter Drivers to support a busy Teesside operation in Redcar. You will safely move and position vehicles and trailers, performing checks and adhering to health and safety protocols.

The role requires flexibility for day, night, and weekend shifts in a 24-hour operation. Applicants should hold a full, clean UK driving licence and be capable of passing a drug/alcohol test.

Location: Redcar

Pay Rate: £16.17 per hour

Shifts: Mainly 12-hour day and night shifts

Contract: Temporary, ongoing work

The Role

Westray Recruitment is looking for dependable and flexible Shunter Drivers to support a busy, fast-paced operation in the Teesside area.

You will be responsible for safely moving and positioning vehicles and trailers around the site, ensuring operations continue smoothly and efficiently. As the site operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, we are looking for candidates who can work a mixture of day shifts, night shifts and weekends.

This role offers excellent earning potential for candidates who are willing to remain flexible and take on additional shifts when available.

The Person

The successful candidate must:

• Hold a full, clean UK driving licence
• Be able to pass a drug and alcohol test
• Be available for both day and night shifts
• Be willing to work weekends
• Be flexible and available across a seven-day operation
• Be comfortable working mainly 12-hour shifts
• Have a reliable, punctual and responsible attitude
• Be able to follow instructions and work safely in a busy environment
• Be comfortable working independently and as part of a team
• Previous shunting or commercial driving experience would be advantageous, but candidates with the right attitude, flexibility and driving ability are encouraged to apply.
