Job summary

Pilgrim's Europe in Westerleigh is seeking a reliable Shunter Driver to join our Despatch team. You will safely move trailers around the site using a Terberg unit, support loading and dispatch, and work outdoors to keep operations on schedule.

We require prior shunting or lorry driving experience, strong safety awareness, good communication, and the ability to work independently. The role is permanent and full-time with training provided and weekend work available.

Qualifications

• Must have prior shunting or lorry driving experience.
• Strong health and safety awareness and attention to detail.
• Reliable and able to work independently in a fast-paced outdoor environment.

Responsibilities

• Move trailers safely between trailer park and loading bays.
• Carry out daily tug and trailer inspections and report defects.
• Ensure vehicles are fueled and refuel when required.
• Monitor temperatures of refrigeration units.
• Liaise with despatch, yard, goods-in and wash teams for smooth operations.
• Coordinate HGV movements around site.
• Maintain clean and tidy loading bay and yard areas.
• Adhere to Health & Safety procedures and company policies.
• Complete all required paperwork accurately and on time.
