Job summary

TRC Yorkshire in Warrington is seeking a professional Yard/Shunter with a Class 1 (C+E) licence to manage yard movements, perform vehicle checks and maintain safety standards. You will liaise with yard and dispatch teams and report any defects promptly.

Qualifications

• Hold a full UK Class 1 (C+E) licence.
• Valid CPC & Digital Tachograph card.
• Maximum 6 points (minor offences only).
• Able to pass theory and practical assessment.
• Good understanding of WTD legislation.
• Strong communication skills and safety-first approach.

Responsibilities

• Shunting trailers within the yard to ensure smooth operations.
• Safely manoeuvring vehicles in tight and busy spaces.

• 4 days per week (12-hour shifts)
• Day or night shifts available
• Shifts can fall on any day Monday to Sunday

Pay Rates (Rolled-Up Holidays)

• Days: Monday - Thursday £17.15 / Friday £21.65
• Nights: Monday - Thursday £18.40 / Friday £22.62
