Job summary

Winner Recruitment Ltd is hiring for a Night Shift Class 1 Shunter Driver in Hinckley (LE10 3FF). The role involves moving trailers around the yard, ensuring proper vehicle positioning for loading and dispatch, and performing safety checks.

You will work with warehouse and transport teams during a fast-paced night shift. The ideal candidate has a Class 1 licence, CPC and Tachograph cards, no points on licence, and proven Class 1 driving experience.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence is required.
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card required.
• No points on licence; minimum driving history.
• Previous Class 1 driving experience is essential.
• Reliable, punctual and a good communicator; team player.

Responsibilities

• Move trailers safely around the yard and position vehicles for loading and dispatch.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and follow site procedures.
• Maintain high health and safety standards at all times.
• Work closely with warehouse and transport teams for smooth shift operations.

Job description

A day in the life of a NIGHT SHIFT Class 1 Shunter Driver will involve moving trailers safely and efficiently around the yard, ensuring vehicles are positioned correctly for loading and dispatch. You will be responsible for carrying out vehicle checks, following site procedures, and maintaining high health and safety standards at all times.

The role requires excellent awareness, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with warehouse and transport teams to ensure smooth operations throughout the shift.

The warehouse has a welcoming and supportive environment, with management available to assist whenever needed. All colleagues work together with a collaborative approach to achieve the same goal.

FULL-TIME OPPORTUNITIES AVAILABLE

Work location: LE10 3FF - Hinckley

SHIFT PATTERN

• Start times between 15:00 and 18:00 going into nights
• Weekend availability required

Pay

From £18.26 to £19.50 per hour (£19.50 applies from 18:00)

Overtime after 45 hours of work at £27.39 (days) - after 18:00 - £29.25 (nights)

Requirements
