Job summary

Winner Recruitment Ltd is seeking a NIGHT SHIFT Class 1 Shunter Driver based in Hinckley. The role involves moving trailers safely around the yard, positioning vehicles for loading and dispatch, and carrying out routine vehicle checks.

You will work 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM starts, weekend shifts required, with weekly pay and onsite facilities including free parking and canteen. A valid Class 1 licence with CPC and tachograph, no points, and a strong safety focus are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence required.
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• No points on licence.
• Previous Class 1 driving experience is essential.
• Previous shunter driving experience preferred.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable and punctual with good communication.
• Flexible approach to shifts and duties and team player.
• Must follow health and safety procedures.

Job description

A day in the life of a NIGHT SHIFT Class 1 Shunter Driver will involve moving trailers safely and efficiently around the yard, ensuring vehicles are positioned correctly for loading and dispatch. You will be responsible for carrying out vehicle checks, following site procedures, and maintaining high health and safety standards at all times.

The role requires excellent awareness, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with warehouse and transport teams to ensure smooth operations throughout the shift.

The warehouse has a welcoming and supportive environment, with management available to assist whenever needed. All colleagues work together with a collaborative approach to achieve the same goal.

LE10 3FF - Hinckley

Shift Pattern:

• Start times between 4:00PM and 6:00PM
• Weekend availability required

Pay:

• £18.00 per hour

Requirements:
