Job summary

Big Motoring World Group in Wimbledon is seeking an Experienced Diagnostic Technician or Junior Technician to join the On-Site Sales Technician team. You will perform diagnostic assessments and repairs to ensure vehicles meet pre-sale quality standards before customers collect them.

The role requires Level 3 Vehicle Technician qualification (semi-skilled or qualified welcome) and a full, valid UK driving licence.

• Conduct basic coding and programming operations for electronic systems.
• Source technical manuals and software tools to support accurate diagnosis and repairs.

About the Role

As a Technician in our Wimbledon Showroom, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our vehicles are in excellent condition and ready for collection by performing diagnostic assessments and repairs on vehicles prior to sale, ensuring they meet the required quality standards before reaching customers. The Technician will work within the On-Site Sales Technician team to identify and resolve issues accurately, contributing to efficient operations and high customer satisfaction.

What We’re Looking For

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose and rectify mechanical faults, ensuring vehicles meet pre-sale quality standards.

Identify and resolve electrical faults through systemic diagnostics.

Utilise wiring diagrams proficiently to trace faults.

Competently operate diagnostic instruments.

Conduct basic coding and programming operations, ensuring electronic systems function optimally.

Source required information including technical manuals and software tools to support accurate diagnosis and repairs.
