Showroom Host/Receptionist

We are currently recruiting for a friendly, professional, and customer-focused Showroom Host / Receptionist to join a prestigious automotive dealership in Reading on a short term temporary basis.

As the first point of contact for customers visiting the showroom, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming and positive experience. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong customer service skills who enjoys interacting with people in a professional environment.

Dates needing cover: Friday 6th and Monday 9th November.

For the right candidate, this role could also lead to additional opportunities and ongoing assignments throughout the busy Christmas period and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcoming customers into the dealership and ensuring they receive an excellent first impression
• Managing the reception area and maintaining a professional showroom environment
• Offering refreshments to customers and ensuring they are comfortable while waiting
• Regularly replenishing tea, coffee, milk, biscuits, and other refreshment supplies
• Directing customers to the relevant sales, service, or management teams
• Handling incoming telephone calls and transferring enquiries appropriately
• Managing visitor sign-in procedures and maintaining accurate records
• Supporting the dealership team with general administrative duties when required
• Ensuring customer waiting areas remain tidy, stocked, and presentable at all times

About You

• Previous experience as a Showroom Host within the automotive industry would be highly advantageous
• Experience in a Receptionist, Front of House, Hospitality, Retail, or Customer Service role
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A professional, friendly, and well-presented approach
• Comfortable interacting with customers face-to-face and over the phone
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
• Confident using basic Microsoft Office systems including Outlook and Excel

Working hours: 8:00am - 18:00pm

Pay rate: £13.00p/h (Weekly Paid)
