Job summary

Jobwise in Bolton is seeking a confident Receptionist/Host for a luxury car dealership. You’ll greet visitors, guide them around showroom and service areas, and ensure a warm, professional welcome in a busy, hands-on role.

The position is full-time, Monday to Friday, 8am–6pm, with possible split shifts. Immediate start for a temporary assignment until 27th November; on-site parking is provided. Previous customer-facing experience is essential and smart corporate dress code applies.

Qualifications

• Previous customer-facing experience, ideally within Reception, Front of House, Hospitality or Customer Service.
• Confident telephone manner and experience answering calls and dealing with enquiries.
• Smart, professional and well-presented at all times.

Responsibilities

• Meeting and greeting customers and visitors and ensuring a warm, professional welcome.
• Acting as a host around the dealership, guiding customers to departments and colleagues.
• Assisting with the vehicle check-in process and with the automated key-drop machines where required.
• Looking after hospitality areas, keeping them clean, tidy and welcoming with stocked refreshments.
• Answering customer calls when needed and passing on messages to the right people.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a friendly, energetic and professional Receptionist / Host to join a prestigious luxury car dealership based in Bolton.

This is not your typical Receptionist role!

Working within a large, modern dealership, you'll be right at the heart of the customer experience, welcoming visitors, guiding them around the showroom and service department, and making sure everyone receives a warm and professional welcome.

This is a busy, hands-on role where you'll be on your feet throughout the day, moving around the dealership and interacting with customers.

We're ideally looking for someone who can work full-time, Monday to Friday, from 8am to 6pm, although there may be an option to split the hours between two part-time people.

The role is available for an immediate start and will run until 27th November.

What will you be doing as a Receptionist / Host?

Meeting and greeting customers and visitors as they arrive at the showroom, ensuring they receive a warm and professional welcome Acting as a host around the dealership, helping customers find their way around and directing them to the correct departments and colleagues Spending time within the busy service department, helping customers with the vehicle check-in process and assisting them with the automated key-drop machines where required Looking after the customer hospitality areas, ensuring they are clean, tidy and welcoming at all times Keeping refreshments fully stocked, including coffee, cakes, biscuits and chilled drinks Checking customer areas regularly to ensure they are clean, presentable and ready for visitors Loading and unloading the dishwasher and keeping hospitality areas organised Occasionally answering customer telephone calls, dealing with general queries or passing on updates Liaising with internal colleagues, taking messages and sending emails to ensure information gets to the right people

Candidates must be comfortable wearing smart office attire, ideally a navy or black suit, smart trousers or skirt with a white top or blouse.

A smart jacket must be worn.

There is no uniform provided.

Previous experience within a car dealership would be advantageous but is not essential.

We're particularly interested in people who enjoy hospitality, meeting customers and making sure everyone receives a first‑class welcome.

The Essentials Pay: £12.71 per hour

Hours: Ideally Monday to Friday, 8am-6pm, with a one-hour unpaid lunch break.

Alternatively, the shifts may be split between two part-time people, working 8am-1pm or 1pm-6pm.
