Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment LTD is currently recruiting for an Art Teacher to join a Widnes secondary school on a short-term basis, with work starting 30 September 2026 and running for up to 8 weeks.

You will teach Art across KS3 and KS4, plan and deliver engaging lessons, assess progress, and contribute to a collaborative Art department. This role is suited to an experienced teacher seeking a September start and autumn term availability.

Qualifications

• Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Art at KS3 and KS4.
• Strong knowledge of the secondary Art curriculum.
• Ability to differentiate for varying abilities.
• Good classroom management and pupil engagement.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Art lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with the Art department and colleagues.
• Maintain high standards of behaviour and achievement.
