Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking an Art Teacher for a secondary school in Widnes for an eight-week placement starting 30 September 2026. You will plan and deliver Art lessons across KS3 and KS4, helping pupils develop creativity and technical skills within a supportive department.

The role requires QTS or equivalent and a passion for engaging, high-quality Art education. Successful candidates can expect a collaborative environment and a concise autumn term assignment.

Qualifications

• Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Have experience teaching Art at KS3 and KS4.
• Have strong subject knowledge across the secondary Art curriculum.
• Be confident planning and delivering creative and engaging lessons.

Responsibilities

• Planning and delivering engaging Art lessons.
• Supporting pupils to develop their artistic skills, creativity and confidence.
• Maintaining high expectations of behaviour, effort and achievement.
• Assessing pupil progress and providing appropriate feedback.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues within the Art department and wider school.
