Tradewind Recruitment LTD. is seeking an Art and Photography Teacher for a Wirral secondary school, starting after October half-term 2026. This full-time, short-term vacancy runs until Christmas 2026.

Daily pay ranges from £174.71 to £240.70, depending on experience. The role requires delivering Art and Photography, creating engaging lessons, and supporting students' creative and technical skills. QTS or equivalent is expected, with strong classroom management and ability to differentiate

Qualifications

• Hold QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Art and Photography in a secondary school.
• Strong creative and technical subject knowledge.
• Ability to deliver engaging practical lessons.
• Experience supporting creative coursework and portfolio development.
• Effective classroom and behaviour management.
• Ability to adapt teaching to meet different learning needs.
• Available full-time from October half-term to Christmas 2026.

Responsibilities

• Teach Art and Photography across the secondary curriculum.
• Plan and deliver creative, practical and theory-based lessons.
• Develop pupils' artistic, observational and photographic skills.
• Support digital photography and traditional artistic techniques.
• Guide pupils through creative projects and portfolio development.
• Assess pupil work and provide constructive feedback.
• Differentiate lessons to support a range of learning needs.
• Maintain positive classroom behaviour and safe practical environments.
• Collaborate with departmental colleagues.
• Undertake planning, preparation, teaching and assessment duties for a full-time position.
