Job summary

ABM UK is seeking a dedicated Shopping Centre Cleaning Supervisor for Guildhall Shopping Centre, Exeter. You will oversee daily cleaning operations, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and presentation in a busy, customer-facing environment.

The role requires hands-on leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to manage people and performance effectively in a high-footfall setting.

Qualifications

Experience as Cleaning Supervisor in shopping centre or high-footfall environment preferred.
Strong knowledge of cleaning procedures and industry best practice.
Excellent communication skills with customers and tenants.
Proven leadership and team management ability.
Confident in handling customer complaints professionally.
Willingness to work evenings, bank holidays and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

Supervise cleaning operations hands-on with the team.
Lead, motivate and support operatives to meet company standards.
Coordinate cleaning schedules with the soft services manager and allocate resources.
Ensure all areas are cleaned to agreed specifications within timeframes.
Conduct regular quality inspections and complete audit documentation.
Deliver training and development to cleaning staff (BICS training advantageous).
Address client or tenant cleanliness complaints promptly and professionally.
Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering supplies and managing equipment inventory.
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, COSHH, and safe systems of work.
