Job description

We are offering a new opportunity to join us two days a week as a Part Time Shop Assistant. Your role will involve providing a positive experience to all customers—whether in person, online, or by phone—and supporting the Factory Shop employees with daily operations.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Assisting customers, staff, and guests with enquiries and purchases, managing stock, and ensuring health and safety standards are met.
2. Opening and preparing the shop for daily sales, including cash handling, restocking, and display setup.
3. Managing online and telesales activities, including fabric sourcing, stock control, and reporting.
4. Providing excellent customer service, promoting offers, and maximizing sales opportunities.
5. Collaborating with other departments and maintaining a clean, organized shop environment.
6. Completing end-of-day and weekly financial reconciliations and reports.

Measures of success include:

• Timely responses to customer inquiries
• Positive customer feedback
• Increased shop takings

Qualifications: GCSEs in Maths & English (C grade or above)

Experience & Skills: Previous retail experience, interest in textiles and design, good computer skills
