Location: Uttoxeter

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 7 per week

Salary: £22,932 per annum based on 35 hours per week (£12.60 per hour)

What does a day in the life of a Shop Assistant involve?

• Assisting the shop manager to run a customer-focused shop that is the 'window of the British Red Cross' on the high street.
• Creating a welcoming shopping environment and providing excellent customer service.
• Working confidently on the shop floor as the first point of contact, operating the till, and creating displays.
• Sorting stock and preparing items for display behind the scenes.

What does it take to be a successful Shop Assistant?

• Previous retail experience and confidence handling money.
• Strong communication skills and a passion for providing excellent customer service.
• A commercial mindset with an understanding of hitting targets.
• The ability to anticipate and meet customer needs to ensure satisfaction.
