Job summary

Morson is recruiting a Shipping Specialist in Cambridge to support shipping and logistics operations. You will coordinate domestic and international shipments, prepare shipping documentation and collaborate with internal teams and freight providers to ensure timely delivery.

The role requires strong administration, excellent Excel skills and good communication. It is an initial contract with potential to become permanent, and BPSS screening applies.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in English and Mathematics (or equivalent).
• Strong administrative skills with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Confident communication with internal teams and external providers.
• Experience entering and maintaining information in ERP systems.
• Excellent Microsoft Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate import and export of parts, materials and cargo per procedures.
• Prepare shipping documentation for domestic and international movements.
• Liaise with freight forwarders, couriers and logistics providers to arrange shipping.
• Track shipments from collection to delivery and update internal customers on progress.
• Work with supply and shipping teams to coordinate delivery schedules and manage risks.
• Assess shipping options against delivery requirements, service and cost.
• Maintain accurate, organized shipping records for traceability and audits.

Morson is recruiting a Shipping Specialist to support our client’s shipping and logistics operations in Cambridge.

You will coordinate domestic and international shipments, prepare shipping documentation and work closely with internal teams and freight providers to ensure goods reach their destination efficiently. This is an initial contract opportunity with potential to become permanent.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate the import and export of parts, materials and cargo in line with company procedures and applicable requirements.
• Prepare shipping documentation for domestic and international movements.
• Liaise with freight forwarders, couriers and logistics providers to arrange suitable shipping solutions.
• Track shipments from collection through to delivery, keeping internal customers informed of progress and any delays.
• Work closely with supply and shipping teams to coordinate delivery schedules and manage potential risks.
• Assess shipping options against delivery requirements, service and cost.
• Maintain accurate, organised shipping records to support traceability and audits.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong administrative skills, with excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
• Confident communication skills and the ability to work effectively with internal teams and external service providers.
• Experience entering and maintaining information within business systems, such as ERP software.
• Excellent Microsoft Excel skills.
