Job summary

Eaton's Aerospace is recruiting an experienced Shipping Administrator in the Titchfield, Hampshire area to ensure timely processing of shipments in line with UK policies and procedures.

The role covers preparing documentation in ERP/customer portals, booking shipments, liaising with couriers, and ensuring all shipments comply with export licence requirements. Strong MS Office skills and Dangerous Goods handling experience are desirable.

Qualifications

• GCSE education required; further study preferred.
• Experience in exporting and licensing procedures in a regulated environment.
• Proficient in MS Office and shipping documentation processes.
• Class 9 Dangerous Goods Certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Process Pre-Shippers in ERP in a timely manner.
• Produce shipment documentation in ERP and customer portals.
• Book shipments and liaise with designated couriers/freight forwarders.
• Ensure shipments comply with Eaton policies and export licence requirements.
• Register non-UK shipments with HM Customs and raise Dangerous Goods Notes as trained.
• Close shipments in ERP after dispatch and provide required data.

Currently located in Titchfield, Hampshire, Eaton's Aerospace business stands as a global leader in aerospace fuel systems.Our site is undergoing a significant and exciting transformation as we relocate to a newly constructed facility in Daedalus. This state-of-the-art site will serve as the Centre of Excellence for aerospace manufacturing across Europe, marking a new era of innovation and excellence.Today the prime purpose of the Titchfield site is the design, manufacture and aftermarket support of key fuel system components for the major aircraft manufacturers including Boeing and Airbus. We pride ourselves as a premier supplier of fully integrated fuel systems for fixed and rotary-wing aircraft. We boast extensive fuel and air system test facilities, facilitating comprehensive testing across a range of conditions with various fuel types.What you’ll do:We are currently recruiting for an experienced Shipping Administrator to ensure the timely processing of shipments in accordance with Eaton policies and procedures and in compliance with UK Shipping & Export requirements.Processing Pre-Shippers in ERP system in timely manner.Producing shipment documentation in ERP system/customer portal and associated systems in timely manner.Booking shipments and liaising with designated couriers / freight forwardersEnsuring all shipments comply with Eaton policies/procedures and quality system.Registering non-UK shipments on a Standard Individual Export License (SIEL) with HM Customs.Raising Dangerous Goods Notes (where trained)Ensuring Shipments & Shipping documentation comply with Export licence requirements – act as final gatekeeper for licence compliance.Confirming Shipments in ERP system after dispatch and ensuring they close properly.Identifying Shipping pipe queries, populating Pipeline Risk report (setting action and owner) providing shipping info to variety of stakeholders on request.Processing accurate release documentation across a wide range of requirements (CAA, FAA, CAAC, CoC, MOD 640, DAIN)Processing Shipments / ASN’s on customer defined portals as required.Filing of all Shipping documentation in line with company requirementsPossesses post-secondary educationProblem solving experience with ability to provide pro-active solutionsQualifications:GCSE education is required and beyond is preferableClass 9 Dangerous Goods Certification is preferable but not requiredSkills:Experience of Export license proceduresExperience within a Shipping Administrator within a highly regulated environment.Strong experience of using and understanding of all MS Office products.Class 9 Dangerous Goods certification (Preferred)Experience of Inward Processing ReliefFlexibility in terms of time, we have busy month ends and will requie someone to work late or weekend days on occasion, overtime will be paid in this instance.CommitmentPassion to grow careerAll positions may require participation in video and in-person interviews as part of the hiring process.
