Job summary

Silversea is seeking an Executive Sous Chef to serve as the second-in-command of our shipboard culinary team. You will support the Executive Chef in daily galley operations, lead menu execution, and ensure impeccable presentation for ultra-luxury dining experiences.

You will enforce maritime Public Health standards, manage inventory and waste, and guide galley staff with senior-level leadership in a high-volume luxury environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years in a luxury international setting, with at least 1 year as Sous Chef.
• 2 years as Sous Chef in a Michelin Star or Relais & Châteaux environment.
• Strong foundation in European and International cuisines.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Executive Chef in daily galley management, expediting orders and overseeing food preparation.
• Oversee menu execution, ensure top-tier presentation and consistency across outlets.
• Lead strict sanitation and Public Health compliance, IPM, and temperature logging.
• Manage galley staff, scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
• Coordinate with hotel and dining departments to ensure seamless service.
