Job summary

Crystal Cruises is seeking a Repairman Interior for Crystal Symphony to perform daily maintenance and repair of vessel engines and mechanical systems. The role requires STCW 95 and ASE A-III/5 certifications, strong mechanical skills, and experience with shipboard machinery.

The position involves working in the engine spaces, complying with safety procedures, and supporting installation and breakdown services as part of the technical loading team.

Qualifications

• Valid STCW 95 certification.
• Valid ASE Certification A-III/5.
• Good knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics, operation and maintenance of vessel machinery and mechanical equipment.
• Experience with stripping engines down and rebuilding.
• Experience on vessels in an equivalent position.
• Physically and medically fit.
• Moral integrity is required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily maintenance and cleaning of engines and mechanical equipment as directed by the Engineer in charge.
• Repairs and maintains hydraulic equipment and valves.
• Provides installation and breakdown services.
• Be part of the technical loading team during intake of provisions and during ship operations.
• Assist with general maintenance: cleaning, painting, repairs.
• Keep the engine room and all machinery areas clean and tools organized.
• Inform on-duty Engineer of progress and any safety or equipment issues.
• Enforce safety and regulatory standards on board.
