Job summary

V.Group seeks several experienced Engine Repairman for a short-term assignment as part of the Dry Dock Riding Team on board the cruise vessel AZAMARA QUEST. This 1-month contract begins with embarkation on 31 October 2026.

You will perform engine maintenance and repairs, assist in dry dock duties, and ensure compliance with safety and operational procedures under the Engine Department. Candidates must hold valid STCW 95 and ASE A-III/5 certificates and have hands-on experience with marine

Qualifications

• Valid STCW 95 certification and up-to-date certificates.
• ASE Certification A-III/5 valid.
• Strong knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics and vessel machinery.
• Experience with stripping engines and rebuilding.
• Prior sea-going vessel experience.
• Physically and medically fit; high safety standards.
• Moral integrity required.

Responsibilities

• Perform major and specialised engine overhaul and repairs.
• Repair and maintain hydraulic equipment and valves.
• Provide installation and breakdown services.
• Assist with general engine room maintenance and cleaning.
• Support engine department during shipboard operations.
• Keep supervisors informed of progress and issues.
• Ensure safety standards and use of PPE.
• Maintain engine room and equipment cleanliness.
