About the role

We are looking for a shift electrician to join our team in Hunslet Park depot. Do you want to be part of our energetic team of mechanical engineers and maintenance staff repairing our fleet of vehicles? If yes, then this Electrician position could just be the job for you!

If you're ex-military with an apprenticeship engineering qualification, or an experienced mechanical engineer looking for a transition, then we would love to hear from you too.

You will: -

• Diagnose vehicle faults and specify the correct method of repair and parts to be used.
• Carry out vehicle servicing.
• Be fully conversant with the overhaul and repair of vehicle electrical systems including engine management, automatic/semi-automatic gearboxes, electronic braking, suspension, electronic destinations, multiplex wiring systems and E.C.U.
• Be fully familiar with all relevant diagnostic equipment including multi meters, temperature gauges, micrometres, vernier gauges and E.C.U. diagnostic computer equipment.

We'll provideyour overalls (PPE).

Hourly pay rate: £18.77 p/h

£2,000 JOINING BONUS!!

Shift pattern: Early/ Late shifts 1 weekend in 3 ( 06:00 - 14:00, and 12:00 - 20:00)

About you

• Do you possess a minimum IMI level 3 NVQ standard or equivalent qualification?
• Do you hold a cat B driver's licence?
• Are you a UK resident and can prove Right to Work?
• Must be able to obtain PCV Licence, we will help with your development towards this.
• You must be fully conversant with the safe operation of workshop equipment and the overhaul and repair of vehicle electrical systems.
• You must be in the possession of, or capable of obtaining a full PCV licence and forklift truck licence if required (First Bus will help you obtain this if not).
• PCV Mechanical& Body Repair Skills advantageous.
