Job description

Shift Team Leader - Warehouse & Logistics, Leicester

Our client is a long-established and successful manufacturer and distributor based in Leicester.

Due to continued success and expansion, they are seeking a Warehouse & Logistics Shift Team Leader to oversee a small warehouse team.

This role offers variety and requires an experienced operational professional with proven capabilities in managing and developing a Warehouse and Logistics team.

The successful candidate will understand the importance of exceeding customer expectations, leading a team, and inspiring a commitment to deliver exceptional service.

Duration: Temp to Perm - transition to permanent after 12 weeks

Hours: 45 hours per week

Shift Pattern: Two-week rotation: Week 1 - 6:00am to 3:30pm; Week 2 - 8:30am to 6:00pm

Role & Responsibilities:

1. Supervise teams actively to develop and motivate staff within Warehousing and Logistics.
2. Foster departmental relationships focusing on cohesion and synergy.
3. Collaborate with all departments to ensure customer expectations are exceeded.
4. Maximize profitable business through efficiencies and improvements.
5. Ensure compliance with H&S, ISO9001, and ISO14001 standards across departments.
6. Be creative, adaptable, and flexible.
7. Drive and focus on exceeding KPI targets and departmental development within a rewarding environment.
