Job summary
MAC Recruit Group Ltd is seeking a Shift Team Leader for a 24/7 operational facility in Central Scotland. This hands-on leadership role combines DCS/control room operation, plant monitoring and shift supervision to ensure safe, reliable performance within environmental requirements.
You will lead a shift operations team, coordinate start-ups and shutdowns, carry out inspections and monitor environmental permits, while maintaining accurate shift records and promoting high health and safety
Qualifications
- Experience in power generation or energy-from-waste environments.
- Experience operating mechanical/process plant.
- Previous team leadership experience or capability to step into a leadership position.
- HNC/NVQ or equivalent technical experience.
- IOSH, NEBOSH, BOAS or AP/SAP experience would be advantageous but isn’t essential.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor boilers, turbines, pumps and plant via DCS/SCADA.
- Lead, support and develop the shift operations team.
- Coordinate plant start-ups, shutdowns and operational issues.
- Carry out plant inspections and support minor reactive maintenance.
- Monitor environmental permits and compliance (CEMS).
- Maintain accurate operational and shift records.
- Uphold high Health & Safety standards across the facility.
