Job summary

Michael Page is recruiting for a Shift Team Leader to oversee a 24/7 power generation facility in Leicestershire. You will lead operators, drive safe, compliant operation, and monitor plant performance using DCS/HMI systems.

Qualifications

Experience in power generation or related industrial environment.
Experience operating plant equipment from control room and plant environments.
Working knowledge of DCS, HMI, or SCADA control systems.
Strong leadership, coaching and team development abilities.
IOSH, NEBOSH, BOAS, AP or SAP qualifications are advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise the shift team to ensure safe and efficient plant operations.
Operate, monitor, and control plant systems via DCS/HMI platforms.
Oversee turbines, boilers, pumps, water treatment and auxiliary systems.
Monitor CEMS to ensure environmental compliance.
Manage plant start-ups, shutdowns, inspections, and routine checks.
Coordinate minor reactive maintenance and plant stoppages.
Support contractors and provide technical guidance to operators.
Ensure health, safety and environmental compliance and maintain shift logs and reports.
Drive continuous improvement across plant operations and team performance.
