Job summary

RecruitMe is seeking an experienced Shift Team Leader for a 24/7 energy facility near South Lanarkshire. You will lead the shift, operate turbines, boilers and process equipment via DCS/HMI/SCADA, and ensure safe, reliable plant operation.

Ideal candidates have power generation or energy-from-waste backgrounds, strong DCS/SCADA skills, and prior team leadership experience. IOSH/NEBOSH experience is advantageous but not essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in power generation, Energy from Waste, biomass, CHP, steam raising or heavy process operations.
• Strong DCS, HMI or SCADA experience.
• Control room and plant-floor operating experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead safe and efficient shift operations across the plant.
• Start, stop and monitor turbines, boilers and process equipment via DCS.
• Monitor plant performance and environmental compliance.
• Supervise plant rounds, inspections and shift reporting.
• Support minor reactive maintenance and process stoppages.
• Oversee boiler, cooling and plant water treatment.
• Manage, coach and develop the Shift Team.
• Coordinate contractors and operational staff where required.
• Support continuous improvement of SOPs and plant performance.
