Job summary

Randstad CPE is seeking a Shift Team Leader to oversee the Energy Recovery Facility on a 24/7 shift pattern. You will lead a team of operators, ensure safe operations, and drive plant performance while upholding environmental and site safety standards.

You will report to the Operations Manager, supervise SAP duties, and manage maintenance via CMMS to sustain high availability and compliance.

Qualifications

Proven operational leadership in a process plant or energy-from-waste environment.
Strong knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations.
Experience managing Safe Systems of Work and Permits to Work.
Track record of leading shift teams and driving performance.
Experience with CMMS and site safety documentation.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise the shift team to maximise plant availability.
Ensure waste throughput and energy output meet targets while complying with procedures.
Act as SAP and manage SSOW, permits, risk assessments and safety records.
Monitor and ensure Environmental Permitting Regulations compliance.
Oversee planned maintenance via CMMS and address defects.
Act as Incident Controller during emergencies and safety drills.
Coordinate contractor activities and ensure safety inductions for visitors.
Support team development through briefings and reviews.
