Job summary

FCC Environment is seeking a Shift Team Leader to supervise the operational shift team at our Energy from Waste facility. You will act as Senior Authorised Person, lead activities, manage emergencies and support plant performance and reliability.

The role is full-time with a rotating shift pattern across days and nights, offering flexibility and opportunities for progression within a large national waste management group.

Qualifications

• Extensive operational experience in power generation.
• Experience in demanding and fast-paced environments.
• Knowledge of environmental permits and health and safety legislation.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervising and leading an operational shift team.
• Acting as Senior Authorised Person and applying site safety rules.
• Managing emergencies and coordinating with stakeholders and emergency services.
• Ensuring compliance with environmental permits and design criteria.
• Maintaining high standards of safety and housekeeping across the site.
• Maximising plant availability, efficiency and reliability.
• Conducting shift handovers and providing coaching to team members.
