Job summary

Adecco is seeking a hands-on Shift Supervisor for a busy manufacturing site in Greater Manchester. You will lead a shift team to achieve production targets while upholding safety, quality and continuous improvement standards.

The role emphasizes developing employees, promoting a positive safety culture, and delivering site performance through effective supervision, coaching, and collaboration with engineering and quality teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing leadership roles such as Shift Supervisor or equivalent.
• Experience across manufacturing sectors (chemical, pharmaceutical, FMCG, food production or process manufacturing).
• Strong leadership with ability to develop and coach team members.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate production teams on shift.
• Ensure health, safety and environmental standards are met.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives on site.
• Manage operational performance and production targets.
• Coordinate resources and labour requirements.
• Assist incident investigations and implement corrective actions.

4 On / 6 Off Shift Pattern (2 Days / 2 Nights)

Tameside / Greater Manchester

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Shift Supervisor, Production Supervisor or Manufacturing Team Leader to join a well-established manufacturing business in Greater Manchester.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you will be responsible for leading a shift team, driving safety, quality and operational performance, while ensuring production targets are achieved.

The successful candidate will play a key role in developing employees, promoting a positive safety culture and driving continuous improvement across site operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Leading and motivating production teams on shift
• Ensuring high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the site
• Managing operational performance and production targets
• Coordinating resources and labour requirements
• Supporting incident investigations and corrective actions
