Job summary

Kentmere is seeking Shift Production Operatives to join their production team. The role involves operating production machinery, performing quality checks and maintaining safe, efficient operations.

The position offers £15.83 per hour on a temporary basis with potential to become permanent, a 42-hour week on average, full training provided, and a supportive team environment.

Our client, a leading manufacturer of nonwoven materials and engineered papers, is seeking reliable and motivated Shift Production Operatives to join their production team.

The Role

As a Shift Production Operative, you will be responsible for operating production machinery, carrying out quality checks, supporting production activities, and helping to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.

Key Responsibilities

Operate production machinery safely and efficiently.
Perform quality checks and accurately complete production records.
Follow standard operating procedures at all times.
Maintain high housekeeping standards within the production area.
Work collaboratively with colleagues and support effective shift handovers.
Comply with all company policies, procedures, and health & safety requirements.
Wear and use the appropriate PPE at all times.
Undertake training across a range of production processes and machinery.

What We're Looking For

Previous manufacturing or production experience.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Flexibility to work a rotating shift pattern.

Shift Pattern

Working on either the A, B, or C shift pattern, covering both days and nights (6am to 6pm / 6pm to 6am).
Full shift details will be provided during the recruitment process.
No weekend working is currently required.
