Job summary

Gi Group is seeking a Production Operative for a client in Sittingbourne, Kent. This role is physically demanding, involving lifting and moving stock daily and adhering to safety and production schedules.

Shifts run 05:30–14:00 and 14:00–22:30, Monday to Friday with rotating weeks and occasional weekend work. Pay is £13.96 per hour with overtime at £20.94 per hour; 28 days holiday, weekly pay, with full training and PPE provided.

• Ability to work as part of a team and independently with safety compliance.
• Good timekeeping and reliability.
• Basic computer skills.

Production Operative

Our client in Sittingbourne, is currently looking for a Production Operative to join their developing team on a temporary to permanent basis. Please note this is an extremely physical role, where you will be required to lift, move and manoeuvre stock on a daily basis.

Salary and Benefits

• £13.96 per hour
• Overtime (over 40 hours) £20.94 per hour
• Monday to Friday
• 05:30 - 14:00 and 14:00 - 22:30 (rotating shifts each week with occasional weekend work)

Duties of a Production Operative

• General physical duties, lifting, shifting and manoeuvring stock on a daily basis
• Inspecting stock for any defects
• Keeping machines and work areas clean, carrying out basic checks, and reporting faults.
• Working in an inside/outside environment depending on the section
• Following production schedules and work instructions
• Working safely around heavy machinery
• Checking machine set-up dimensions are aligned with product specifications
