Job summary

enfinium is seeking a shift operations supervisor to ensure reliable day-to-day plant operation and manage the shift team to meet safety, environmental and operational targets. You will supervise, train and develop staff, enforce safety rules, and drive continuous improvement across the facility.

The role requires leading a team, strong communication, and a practical approach to solving engineering challenges in a power/energy-from-waste environment.

Qualifications

• HND/HNC in Engineering or related discipline.
• A minimum of 3 years’ operational and maintenance experience in power generation, EfW or similar environment.

Responsibilities

• Trains shift personnel in safety procedures and equipment use, plant operating procedures and environmental standards and compliance.
• Oversees the application, enforcement and administration of the Company Safety Rules as an SAP (Senior Authorised Person).
• Motivates and develops the team; conducts regular performance appraisals and talent identification; creates development plans.
• Directs and supervises a team to ensure safe and efficient operation with high housekeeping standards during duty hours.
• Promotes a culture of teamwork between operational staff and all plant staff.
• Ensures that the facility and people operate safely at all times and safety is a priority.
