Job summary

Encyclis is building a new Energy Recovery Facility in the Midlands, with operations commencing in 2027. We seek a Day Team Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring safety, compliance, and efficiency across weighbridge, tipping hall and ash handling activities.

You will lead a team of operators, cleaners and agency workers, drive continuous improvements, and coordinate with the Operations Manager to maintain facility performance and safety standards.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2/3 in leadership, management or technical subject preferred.
• Experience with fuel/material handling activities.
• Previous process or power plant experience desirable; large mobile plant experience essential.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day operations safely and in line with Encyclis procedures.
• Oversee transportation of large volumes of municipal waste, bottom ash and residues.
• Manage weighbridge, tipping hall and ash hall operations and records.
• Coordinate site housekeeping, traffic management and mobile plant operations.
• Support induction and training of staff and drivers; perform safety inspections.
