Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Time Served Industrial Mechanical Technician to join a 24/7 maintenance team at our Cumbria site. You will perform onsite maintenance, support planned maintenance, and work on both solo and team tasks to maximise OEE.

You will operate a CMMS, contribute to continuous improvement, and help develop apprentices and other staff. A positive, self-driven attitude and a willingness to grow within Amcor will be essential.

Qualifications

• Time served Industrial Mechanical Technician.
• Experience in an Industrial engineering environment.
• ONC / HNC in Mechanical Engineering.
• Knowledge of PUWER regulations.
• Lifting and slinging.
• MEWP & forklift truck licence (desirable).
• IOSH Working Safely (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Onsite maintenance and engineering support for site assets to maximise OEE.
• Planned preventive maintenance (PPM) schedules.
• Complete planned maintenance tasks.
• Prioritise workload.
• Utilise stock control systems and drive improvements.
• Train and develop co-workers (apprentices and maintenance staff).
• Fault finding on advanced industrial machinery (printing presses, blown film extrusion).
• Ensure all work is safe and compliant.
• Work on a shift pattern providing 24/7 breakdown service.
• Use CMMS for maintenance purposes.
