Symphony Group PLC in Barnsley is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our site on a full-time, permanent basis. You will maintain production equipment to keep operations running smoothly and safely, with a competitive salary.

As part of the maintenance team you’ll deliver high-quality technical support across plant systems, perform PPM, and work with on-site contractors and remote service engineers. This hands-on role suits a proactive engineer who takes pride in reliability.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years' industrial experience.
• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
• Experience in fast-paced engineering or manufacturing environments.
• Willingness to work a 4-shift rota.

Responsabilités

• Perform maintenance and repairs on production plant and equipment.
• Carry out planned and preventive maintenance (PPM) to minimise downtime.
• Coordinate with on-site contractors and remote service engineers.
• Diagnose and resolve machine breakdowns quickly and effectively.
• Fault find on mechanical systems such as gearboxes.
• Understand pneumatic and hydraulic circuits.
• Maintain accurate CMMS records and reports.
• Manage stock levels of critical parts and equipment.
• Mentor apprentices in the maintenance team.
