Marks & Spencer Plc in Lichfield is opening a brand-new Distribution Centre in early 2027 and is recruiting permanent, full-time Shift Managers to join our team. We offer day and night shifts on a 12-hour shift pattern with a two-week rotating schedule, driving a safe environment and customer service excellence.

You will lead and coach teams, deliver production plans to meet targets, identify talent for growth, and embed continuous improvement across the operation.

Qualifications

• An inspirational leader with proven leadership, engagement and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to adapt style to audience and inspire high performance.
• Commercially focussed with understanding of business and trade outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead, inspire and coach Team Managers and Warehouse Colleagues to deliver results in budget, through role modelling and inspirational leadership.
• Deliver the Shift Production Plan to Volume, Efficiency and Rate in line with target costs, ensuring seamless handovers.
• Identify and nurture talent within the team through succession planning and upskilling.
• Lead and coach the team and embed a culture of continuous improvement within the Operation.
• Proactively manage people issues, wellbeing, absence, talent and performance in line with policy.
