Job summary

Greggs in Retail South East is seeking a Shift Manager to lead the shop when the manager isn’t around and to motivate the team to deliver excellent customer service. You’ll help ensure smooth operations across in-shop, delivery, Click+Collect, and drive-thru channels, guiding staff to maintain high standards.

Shifts are varied and include preparing products, managing ovens, stocking displays, and keeping the store clean and welcoming.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience in a customer-focused environment.
• Strong leadership and team motivation skills.
• Ability to deliver excellent customer service across multiple channels.

Responsibilities

• Lead the shop when the Manager is absent and drive performance.
• Inspire the team to deliver results and uphold shop standards.
• Serve customers quickly and warmly, supporting a great in-store experience.
• Prepare products, including sandwiches, and manage ovens.
• Keep displays stocked and shop areas clean and presentable.

About the role

Join us as a Shift Manager and you’ll be part of a team that loves putting customers first.

As part of the management team,you’llbe responsible forlooking after the shop when the Managerisn’taround. You will engage and motivate the team, and make sure they have what they need to do an amazing job.

We serve our customers acrossa number ofdifferent channels; in-shop, delivery,Click+Collect and drive thru.Y ou'lllead the way inmaking sure customers have a brilliant experience when shopping with us - whether they order in store or order their food online.

While no two shifts will be the same, during a typical shift you can expect to:

• Inspire the team to deliver amazing results andmaintainthe excellent standards of the shop


• Lead by example and serve our customers in a fast and friendly manner


• Prepare our much-loved products, including making sandwiches and managing the ovens


• Ensure our displays are fullystocked at all times, with plenty of choice available for our customers


• Keep the shop looking clean,tidyand presentable
