Job summary

Greggs in Bournemouth is seeking a proactive Shift Manager to lead the shop when the Store Manager is away. You will motivate the team, ensure customer satisfaction, and help run in-store operations across multiple channels including in-shop, Click+Collect, and drive‑thru.

Typical duties include guiding staff to maintain standards, serving customers with speed and courtesy, preparing products, and ensuring displays are well stocked.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate natural leadership abilities with a passion for customer service.
• Support an inclusive culture and value diversity in the team.
• Experience supervising teams in a customer‑facing environment is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Inspire the team to deliver excellent results and maintain high shop standards.
• Lead by example and serve customers quickly and politely.
• Prepare products, including sandwiches and ovens management.

About the role

Join us as a Shift Manager and you’ll be part of a team that loves putting customers first.

As part of the management team,you’llbe responsible forlooking after the shop when the Managerisn’taround. You will engage and motivate the team, and make sure they have what they need to do an amazing job.

We serve our customers acrossa number ofdifferent channels; in-shop, delivery,Click+Collect and drive thru.Y ou'lllead the way inmaking sure customers have a brilliant experience when shopping with us - whether they order in store or order their food online.

While no two shifts will be the same, during a typical shift you can expect to:

• Inspire the team to deliver amazing results andmaintainthe excellent standards of the shop


• Lead by example and serve our customers in a fast and friendly manner


• Prepare our much-loved products, including making sandwiches and managing the ovens


• Ensure our displays are fullystocked at all times, with plenty of choice available for our customers
