Job summary

Greggs in Bolton is recruiting a Shift Manager to lead a team and ensure excellent customer service across in-store and online channels. You will oversee operations when the Store Manager is unavailable, motivate staff, and maintain high standards of product quality, cleanliness, and presentation.

You’ll supervise shift activities, prepare sandwiches and manage ovens, while ensuring stock is replenished and displays remain compelling.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership and ability to motivate a team.
• Strong commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
• Experience supervising staff in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Inspire the team to deliver great results and maintain shop standards.
• Lead by example, serving customers quickly and courteously.
• Prepare products (e.g., sandwiches) and manage ovens.
• Ensure displays are well stocked and the shop is clean and presentable.
• Oversee day-to-day shop operations when the Store Manager is not on site.

About the role

As part of the management team,you’llbe responsible forlooking after the shop when the Managerisn’taround. You will engage and motivate the team, and make sure they have what they need to do an amazing job.

We serve our customers acrossa number ofdifferent channels; in-shop, delivery,Click+Collect and drive thru.Y ou'lllead the way inmaking sure customers have a brilliant experience when shopping with us - whether they order in store or order their food online.

While no two shifts will be the same, during a typical shift you can expect to:

• Inspire the team to deliver amazing results andmaintainthe excellent standards of the shop
• Lead by example and serve our customers in a fast and friendly manner
• Prepare our much-loved products, including making sandwiches and managing the ovens
• Ensure our displays are fullystocked at all times, with plenty of choice available for our customers
• Keep the shop looking clean,tidyand presentable
